Mission Statement
MAP is the industrial extension program of the Nevada System of Higher Education and its partners. Its primary purpose is to work directly with Nevada companies to strengthen their global competitiveness by providing information, decision support and implementation assistance in adopting new, more advanced technologies, techniques and best business practices.
During the 1990's and into the new millennium, Nevada continued to break all growth records while soaring to the top of nearly every statistical compilation in the country.
But, along with this phenomenal growth, Nevada's industrial entities endeavored not only to keep pace but also to remain leaders in technology, information systems and human resources.
As the industrial extension program of the Nevada System of Higher Education., MAP helps meet these vital needs by working directly with Nevada manufacturing, construction and mining companies to streamline operations, apply the most up-to-date and sophisticated technology, provide managerial assistance and train the workforce.
HOW CAN MAP HELP ME?
Simply stated, MAP opens new doors for the Nevada industrial community, while expanding its scope and revitalizing its capabilities. We do this by addressing your individual needs and providing both direct and referral services to your company. However, you do not relinquish control to MAP; instead, you remain in the driver's seat and work with MAP to decide what will work best for your particular company and situation.
Nevada companies may be eligible for funding assistance
MAP has had strong success in helping Nevada companies get funding for a variety of initiatives over the last few years.
MAP has connected with federal programs in the Department of Labor, Department of Energy, and the Department of Agriculture, to assist a number of companies throughout Nevada in training, Lean Manufacturing and energy savings initiatives. In addition, MAP has had strong success in assisting Nevada companies with state initiatives in career enhancement training.
